Find the right employer for you

To start your carpentry apprenticeship in the ACT, you need an employer to host you.

Master Builders ACT represents hundreds of quality employers across Canberra and the surrounding region. While MBA Training does not directly employ or place apprentices with employers, we can help point you in the right direction.

How we can help

Where possible, we can connect you with the right employer to launch your career. Here’s how:

  • We know the industry and work directly with builders who are committed to training the next generation
  • Our members are reputable, safe, and dedicated to proper on-the-job training
  • We make the introduction. Tell us about yourself, and we’ll put your details in front of employers looking for apprentices.

How it works

Please note: MBA Training cannot guarantee employment or apprenticeship placement. Employment opportunities are managed directly by individual.

  1. Reach out to us

Use the form below to register your interest in a carpentry apprenticeship with MBA Training.

Tell us about yourself, your experience and what you’re looking for. Once we receive your details, we will provide you with a current list of employers who may be willing to take on apprentices.

Tip: We recommend having an up-to-date resume ready and contacting employers directly to introduce yourself and ask about any current or upcoming apprenticeship opportunities.

  2. Explore other apprenticeship opportunities

We recommend expanding your search by checking apprenticeship job boards regularly. New opportunities are advertised throughout the year, including through:

Tip: You can also search other employment platforms or approach local carpentry and building businesses directly.

  3. Secure employment and complete your sign-up

Once you have secured employment as an apprentice with an employer, you and your employer will need to complete the formal apprenticeship sign-up process.

This is completed through an Apprentice Connect Australia Provider (ACAP), such as MEGT or MAS National.

Your ACAP will help you and your employer establish the apprenticeship and complete the required Training Contract.

    When completing your sign-up, nominate:
Training Provider: MBA Training – RTO #88163
Qualification: CPC30220 Certificate III in Carpentry

  4. Start your training with MBA Training

Once your sign-up has been completed and MBA Training has been nominated as your training provider, we will receive notification of your Training Contract.

We will then contact you and your employer to complete the enrolment process and arrange the start of your training.
